India's largest IT services company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on Friday announced an extension of its partnership with Norway's largest financial services group, DNB Bank ASA, for an additional five years.
It, however, did not divulge the financial details of the extended contract.
With the renewed pact, TCS will continue as DNB's strategic partner, supporting the bank's digital modernisation, while enhancing cost efficiency targets, according to a release.
TCS will also deploy next-generation technology for DNB's modernisation initiatives by maintaining and developing new applications, strengthening security capabilities, and providing insights on next-generation technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and quantum computing.
Elin Sandnes, Group EVP of Technology and Services at DNB, said that the group already has a longstanding and proven relationship where TCS has helped enable some of the biggest transformations and innovations over the past twelve years.

Young employees working in IT sector (84.3 percent) and media (83.5 percent) are experiencing higher levels of work stress in Kerala, according to a survey conducted by the state Youth Commission.
Kerala Youth Commission chairman M Shajar presented the survey report to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Thursday in the presence of state Minister for Fisheries, Culture and Youth Affairs Saji Cheriyan.
According to the survey, about 80.6 per cent employees from banking and insurance sector and 75.5 percent from gig economy have also reported work stress.
Employees working in retail and industrial sector related comparatively lower level of work stress, said the report prepared based on a survey conducted among employees in the age group of 18-40 years.
As many as 1,548 employees from five sectors-- IT, gig economy, media, retail/industrial, and banking/insurance participated in the survey.

Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut on Friday said she has resolved the long-running defamation case filed against her by veteran screenwriter-lyricist through mediation.
The actor-politician actor posted a photo with Akhtar on Instagram and said the cinema veteran was "kind and gracious" during the mediation process.
"Today, Javedji and I have resolved our legal matter (defamation case) through mediation. In the mediation Javed ji has been very kind and gracious, he also agreed to write songs for my next directorial," the BJP MP wrote in the caption.
Akhtar is yet to comment on the matter.
Akhtar had claimed that Ranaut defamed and damaged his 'immaculate reputation' by dragging his name into actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death in her interview with a news channel in July 2020.
In 2021, Ranaut hit back by filing a counter-complaint against Akhtar before a magistrate's court, alleging criminal intimidation and insult to modesty.

The father of an Indian woman on death row in Abu Dhabi has approached the Delhi High Court, seeking to know her well-being.
In his petition, which is likely to come up for hearing on Monday, Shabbir Khan -- a? resident of Banda in Uttar Pradesh --? said there was "profound uncertainty" with respect to his daughter Shahzadi's condition, and his repeated applications to the Ministry of External Affairs for clarification were "fruitless".
The plea further alleged that Shahzadi was inadequately represented before the local courts in a case pertaining to the alleged murder of her employer's four-month-old child and she was pressured into "confessing", leading to the imposition of death penalty on July 31, 2023.
"On February 14, 2025, the petitioner's daughter telephoned him from detention, informing him that she had been relocated within the facility and prior to her potential execution, her final wish was to speak with her parents," the petition said.

The Trinamool Congress on Monday expressed dissatisfaction with the Election Commission's response on the duplication of voter card numbers, saying the poll panel must accept the error within 24 hours.
Addressing a press conference here, TMC Rajya Sabha Parliamentary Party Leader Derek O'Brien said if the EC fails to do it, the party would come out with more documents on the issue on Tuesday morning.
O'Brien, along with TMC Rajya Sabha deputy leader Sagarika Ghose and Lok Sabha MP Kirti Azad, displayed lists with details of voter id cards with the same EPIC number, and said most of them were from states ruled by the BJP.
"We want only residents of a state to vote in that state. Only voters of Bengal to vote in Bengal... Voters will not be allowed to vote as their votes will be cast by people with identical EPIC numbers," O'Brien said.
"These people will be sneaked in from other states to vote. This is unacceptable," he added.
